Bratislava Old Town
The historic center of Bratislava is a regulated traffic area with a high turnover of authorized vehicles and a constant flow of daily crossings. The project's objective was to ensure effective access control, while at the same time guaranteeing operational continuity, safety, and integration with the city's traffic management systems.
Solution
Rise supplied Spartacus 275/600 I AL automatic bollards, integrated into an advanced access control system based on license plate recognition and cloud management, coordinated by the local Police.
Intelligent flow control
Residents of the historic center can register their vehicle's license plate within a cloud platform, which automatically authorizes access to the gates.
The system is integrated with monitoring cameras, which allow for the verification of any liability in case of impacts on the bollards when the red light is on.
The monitored traffic records approximately 15,000 vehicles per month, equal to an average of 500 total daily crossings.
Technological pluses: why they are fundamental
• High intensity of use: Rise hydraulic bollards are designed to support up to 3,500 maneuvers per day, making them ideal for urban contexts with high vehicle flow.
• Automatic lowering in case of power failure: guarantees the continuity of authorized traffic even in the event of a blackout or emergencies.
• Class D400 axial load: allows for the safe passage of heavy vehicles and service vehicles without compromising system reliability.
Result
The intervention made it possible to achieve efficient, secure, and fully integrated traffic management with the city's control systems, ensuring reliability even with high transit volumes and intensive use.
